Nokia Asha 311 review: Nokia Asha 311
The Nokia Asha 311 may be the most easy to use Series 40 device ever made, but it's still saddled with legacy baggage that throws up cryptic error messages and annoying confirmation requests far too often to make it pleasing to use. This old technology just isn't a serious competitor to all the slick budget Androids. Considering how much noise Nokia makes about its Microsoft partnership these days, you'd be forgiven for thinking all its phones ran Windows Phone. Au contraire. Nokia is still making a Series 40-based line of cheaper, basic smart phones primarily aimed at budget-conscious mobile users -- its Asha range of handsets.
Pros:
- 40 free EA games can be downloaded.
Cons:
- Series 40 operating system is laggy, cryptic and error prone
- Small low-res screen
- Terrible camera
- Less extensive app choice than rival OSes.

Pros:
- For an operating system that has its roots in early 2000s feature phones, it's remarkable what you can do with S40 on the Nokia Asha 311
- You can browse the web, get email, peruse Facebook and Twitter, chat over instant messaging or even with smartphone-owning mates using the popular WhatsApp.
Cons:
- That's the good: the bad is that this is still an operating system from the early 2000s
- It may mean a long battery life of days rather than hours, but it also means slow loading times, and more pop-ups than a children's picture book
- "Error this", "Problem that".

The handset's 3" capacitive touchscreen (240x400 pixels) is protected by Corning's Gorilla Glass . The display is sharp and bright, while its contrast is better than what you get on similarly-priced handsets.

Nokia has always been creating magic in the market with its low budget and user-friendly phones. This time Nokia is going to release Asha 311 very soon. This time is expected to be very effective in terms of performance and attractive in terms of appearance.
