Olympus SZ-31MR
The Olympus SZ-MR31 is up against some pretty stiff competition in this category. It appears to be a good camera, but it does not really stand out, especially at the price. It is most likely to appeal to you if you are looking for a camera with extra lens power, but is quite easy to use.
Pros:
- Ease of use
- size to zoom ratio
- stereo sound
- fast burst mode
Cons:
- No manual exposure controls

This is a fantastic camera. I only got it today and I already checked out all of its features. It's really easy to use and pictures are of great quality. Zoom actually sold this camera to me and it is excellent, easy to focus even with 24x zoom, but the downside is that when you're taking a video...

Love what it can do
Having had the camera just two weeks, I am still getting used to it. These are my thoughts so far.PROS: It does the things I bought it for - high quality photos, amazing zoom, lots of features, seems good value compared to the opposition. I like it a lot!CONS: 1. Instruction booklet is useless.
Pros:
- Great Features
- Great Picture Quality

Great place to shop for Camera Equipment
This camera has a lot of features, maybe even too many for a 'point & shoot' camera. It is a great size and easy to use. The price point is a little on the high side, however, for the quality of the picture. Quality isn't bad, however, a little disappointing for an Olympus.
Pros:
- Easy To Use
- Great Zoom
- Small / Compact
Cons:
- Image Quality Is Adequate

The series S cameras from Olympus are meant for travelers and so the idea is to pack in a whole lot of features. And this is exactly what its new SZ-31MR does. Load tones of features and specs into a small point and shoot camera with 16 CMOS sensor, 24x zoom and full HD recording.

Olympus SZ-31MR iHS Digital Camera Review
The Olympus SZ-31MR iHS is a competent, feature-rich travel-zoom, but too few improvements have been made since the SZ-30 to earn our complete recommendation. Given this model's problems with sharpness, distortion, and noise reduction, we think $400 is too much for the resulting image quality.
Pros:
- Accurate colors
- Fast burst mode
Cons:
- Poor sharpness
- Annoying handling quirk

Olympus' new travel-zoom is feature-rich and a lot of fun.
Olympus' new travel zoom, the SZ-31MR, replaces the SZ-30MR in the company's lineup. This update is relatively minor, offering slight changes to the control layout, a new touchscreen rear monitor, and a small increase in speed.

Olympus SZ-31MR review
Camera manufacturers are always looking for new ways to woo customers, but Olympus has really pushed the boat out with the SZ-31MR. The 24x optical zoom is the star of the show – it's the biggest we've ever seen in a pocket-sized camera.

Olympus SZ-31 MR
Tweet Olympus is no stranger to producing intriguing, solid cameras, and the rather cumbersomely named Olympus SZ-31 MR is certainly one such offering.
Pros:
- Numerous modes and features to play with
- Solidly built and well designed
- Excellent zoom range
- Autofocus is fast and accurate
Cons:
- Slightly indented power button
- Screen gets warm after little use

Olympus SZ-31MR iHS
Magic Filters are available in both photo and video mode. Other cameras offer similar special effects (to make your shots look like watercolor or pop art, for example) but the Olympus' are a "real treat ... remarkably convincing," Snow says.
Pros:
- 24x zoom
- Loaded with fun features and special effects
- Fast performance
Cons:
- Photo quality gets mixed reviews
- Touch screen can be unresponsive and hard to see
- Disappointing audio in movie mode
- Limited manual controls
