Love the Samsung Halo. Best phone out there for sure. Would love to know if it is available on a prepaid plan. I know Straight Talk has quite a few Samsung phones on it's service... is the Halo one of them?

Samsung Beam I8520

I got these Samsung Beam  end of last year. It seems that the phone hangs like nobody business. With a 750Mhz processor, the phone just lacks when opening applications.

Pico projectors made the headlines a few years back, but then, who would have thought even these could actually be condensed into the size of a mobile phone? Thanks to Samsung, the concept of pico projectors that retain not only the shape and size but the capabilities of a handphone have...

Good projector performance with well-suited apps; Extremely responsive UI; Great battery life; Beautiful 3.7-inch Super AMOLED display

Samsung UI features that cannot be disabled mar the Android experience; Bulky physical appearance; Decidedly average multimedia capabilities

Samsung Galaxy Beam - the projector-phone review

Samsung reputation is for well-priced, high-quality consumer products, not for wacky off-the-wall devices. So when we heard it had launched a phone with a built-in projector we wondered if the conservative company was a having a little wild fling, or whether this was something seriously brilliant.

We're not exactly sure why anyone would be interested in a smartphone with a built-in projector but that's exactly what Samsung has created. The Galaxy Beam is a run of the mill Android phone that boasts a built-in HD projector as its key feature, but with a brightness of just 15 lumens, we can't...

Built-in pico projector; 12.5mm thick; Good looking design

Brightness only 15 lumens; Average specifications; A little expensive given specs

Samsung Galaxy Beam

Will the Samsung Galaxy Beam be the projector-phone to finally crack the U.S. market? Slimmer, brighter, and more attractive than previous models, Samsung is pitching the Beam as a way for everyone to share their favorite movies and video clips with friends.

Runs Android 2.3 rather than 4.0; Still not as bright as a dedicated projector

Samsung Galaxy Beam

Forget HDMI-ready devices, Samsung has decided to go low-maintenance…got a wall? Got a Samsung Galaxy Beam? Great: project your puppy pictures, downloaded episodes and PowerPoint presentations at will!

Good battery life; Projector capability; Decent camera quality; Additional battery

High cost; Projector needs darkness; Screen terrible in sunlight; Niche market appeal

Samsung Galaxy Beam lights the way!

At a first glance, the Samsung Galaxy Beam features the generic smartphone appearance we have now become accustomed to. Do not be fooled. Samsung's latest smartphone sheds a light on ground breaking technology, sporting a projector module that shines with 15 lumen and nHD (640×360) resolution;...
