Bad

Had this for nearly 2 years before upgrading to lumia 532 and this was just terrible! bad pictures, bad call quality the only half decent thing is its battery (1200Mah) but android eats it up! i won't recommend this to anyone unless its like an emergency phone

Samsung Galaxy Y Review

My main gripe with this phone is the lack lustre screen, which just ruins the whole experience, if you're into watching videos or surfing the net. Overall, we feel it's a decent buy, if you have small hands and desperately want a touchscreen phone on the cheap side.

Everyone's invited

The Samsung Galaxy Y is a smartphone approved for all audiences. Perhaps in hindsight, our Galaxy Note review should've been rated PG. But well yeah, we're always wiser in hindsight. Anyway, you don't just wake up one morning wanting a superphone like the Note. You need a place to start.

New Samsung Galaxy Y Models Announced

Additional comments: This is the QWERTY keyboard model with the smaller display screen. Also known as Samsung Galaxy Txt. Unsure if shipped with 2GB card as the Y Duos will be but probably so. Larger battery than the Y Duos. Slightly larger, slightly heavier than the Y Duos model.

Samsung Galaxy Y review Review

The Y in Galaxy Y stands for 'young' and that's exactly what this phone delivers -- a starter smart phone for kids. Its budget screen probably won't even impress the under 10s, but for playing Angry Birds , checking Facebook and ignoring phone calls from parents, this device can suffice.

Cheap to buy; MicroSD card slot

Poor quality display; Low-power chip; Very small size limits its appeal

Samsung Galaxy Y review

With Skype text input and Navigon's turn-by-turn GPS application, the Samsung Galaxy Y appears to offer plenty of bang for your buck.
