Do not buy

This mobile phone was given to me as a Christmas gift. The battery last for one day only. The menu button stopped working after a week. I exchanged it for a different one.

Bought this for my grandson. It looks like it would be great except for the fact that the MAC address is all zeroes, so it will not connect to any WiFi. Unless someone has some great advice on how to fix that problem, I guess I'll be returning it!

The issues and the poor battery life is extremely annoying. Very dissapointing.
Pros:

  • Navigation is also not to bad
Cons:
  • Issues with the SD card requires frequent restarts
  • The battery life is very poor
  • You need to install a lot of extra software.

Way too fiddly and complicated for me

Compared to all the other phones I've seen this one is tiny and very fiddly; even my daughter kept getting p's for o's and dots for n's. Wish I'd gone to the store instead of buying online. Missed out on the special offer of a free tablet and now I'm stuck with a tiddly, fiddly phone for 2 years.

Ok phone considering the price. Standby time is absolutely acceptable The display is not scratch resistant. For some reason so successful, however, I get Monday specimens my reboot itself and turns itself like Samsung's other Android phones I had. Helt ok telefon med tanke på priset.

Samsung Galaxy Y review Review

The Y in Galaxy Y stands for 'young' and that's exactly what this phone delivers -- a starter smart phone for kids. Its budget screen probably won't even impress the under 10s, but for playing Angry Birds , checking Facebook and ignoring phone calls from parents, this device can suffice.
Pros:
  • Cheap to buy
  • MicroSD card slot
Cons:
  • Poor quality display
  • Low-power chip
  • Very small size limits its appeal

Overall the Samsung Galaxy Y is a basic smartphone with nothing on offer that makes it stand out in the crowd. If you shop around you'll find far better equipped devices even at this ultra low price point.
