My main gripe with this phone is the lack lustre screen, which just ruins the whole experience, if you're into watching videos or surfing the net. Overall, we feel it's a decent buy, if you have small hands and desperately want a touchscreen phone on the cheap side.

Don't waste your cash on this one

I purchased two of these phones and after 14 days both have been consigned to the bin. They are easy to use and have good features but what both of us could not address was the expensive drain on our pre paid account.

Samsung Galaxy Y S5360 will have the privilege of being the first Smartphone to many users. This one here coming in as the first will not be giving you too many features to have you engrossed with. But as it is the first so keep your expectations not very high.

It's true that most people interested in this phone won't be fussed that a newer version of Android is out in the wild, but even so, it's hard to recommend this phone. It's cheap but rivals offer so much more for the price.

A tiny screen and average battery life do dampen its appeal, but the Galaxy Y remains a good budget smartphone. Retailing for just $129 through Telstra, the Galaxy Y is a compact, functional and easy to use smartphone. The small screen and low resolution do hinder the overall user experience, but at the end of the day this is all about value for money.

Overall the Samsung Galaxy Y is a basic smartphone with nothing on offer that makes it stand out in the crowd. If you shop around you'll find far better equipped devices even at this ultra low price point.
