Apart from reading large files; performances are quite poor
I purchased this one from another place in January 2011. It died a few weeks ago, which is 7 years after purchase. I mostly used it to store photos and movies, since it is very slow. Now I question those who said it is reliable, are you sure I don't think they've had this drive for that long.
Over two years ago I bought a MacPower Hydra eSata raid enclosure and four of these Samsung EcoGreens. The RAID 5 stack has been running almost non-stop since, without a single hard drive related problem.
