Great looking drive, but a word of caution: I bought it as an upgrade to an existing USB2 drive that I was using to boot my 2013 Macbook Pro. Turns out that Macs are very picky about which USB3 drives they will boot from, and this one is one that isn't compatible.

I am using this disc as a Time Machine backup disc on my iMAC. It just does the job. It also takes up very little space.

People fight for comparisons of WD and Seagate. However i think both the brands are reliable than any other brand in India.... I prefer the finish quality, colors and look of Seagate over WD and secondly near me i have seen more WDs than Seagate..

The package said compatible with PC's or MAC. To use with PC, you have to go to their website, format it, and then re-format it to remove all the junk the first format puts on it. Seems to work OK as a back-up drive. Nice small size.

Bought a 4 TB one of these in the summer of 2016 as an external backup for an iMac with a 3TB internal hard drive. It worked fine for a few months, but in the fall randomly started refusing to mount when I plugged it in and started popping up disk unreadable messages when it did mount.

This is amazingly fast, under the hood this is actually 2 drives in a RAID 0 configuration. I acheive around 250MBPS thoughput when transfering my virtual machine files. I only wish they had 8TB or 12TB versions.
