Definitely waterproof
Very promptly posted, and a good phone! I took photo's in the pool while on holiday and as long as the rubber caps are in place I can safely say it is 100% waterproof. It also has a good screen on it, and the camera itself takes good pictures. I recommend this phone!

Do not recommend I have a problem with my sony acro s
Do not recommend I have a problem with my sony acro s, everything worked fine until the phone asked me for an update on the android system, and no longer recognize any sim card, to my surprise the phone has no IMEI (* # 06 #), not that I sold the phone type or if false, be assured that I will...

Overall great phone
While it's not top of the line spec-wise anymore, its still fairly fast and it has withstood all the abuse I've thrown its way. Even when I accidentally dropped my knife on the screen it just poked it and left a mark in that spot.
Pros:
- Fast
- reliable
- good battery life
- and nearly indestructable
Cons:
- None

Review Sony Xperia Acro S Smartphone
Sony's Xperia Acro S wants to merge completely different areas . On the one hand, it is to be a multimedia device with all modern features and on the other, it has to fulfill the requirements of an outdoor sport device .
Pros:
- Homogeneous screen illumination
- Bright
- high-contrast screen
- Decent battery life
- IP55 / IP57 certification
- Docking station included
- The smartphone copes with all demands despite older hardware and did not exhibit any performance bottlenecks during the tests
Cons:
- High RRP (EUR 400
- Non-removable battery
- Fairly thick casing
- Relatively heavy
- A viewing angle increase and richer color IPS screen would better match the purchase price of 399 Euros (~$521).

Excellent performance, display and functionality. I bought primarily for water/dust resistance but I think it is better than my previous Galaxy Nexus. Pros Water/dust resistance! I can take underwater video!

Sony Xperia acro S review: Daring droid
After the touchscreen revolution swept the mobile world, rugged smartphones became much harder to come by. They are making a slow return now though, with Sony Mobile being one of the key players in that market.

Sony Xperia acro S Review
If there is one thing that smartphones do not get along well with, that would be water. Once inside your handset, it is difficult to get out and can easily cause irreversible damage that warranty doesn't cover.
Pros:
- Resistant to dust and water damage
- Incredibly detailed display
- Rich multimedia feature set
Cons:
- Thick and bulky
- Capacitive buttons are uncomfortable to use
