Extremely dissappointed

Purchased 7-21-18 from MicroCenter. Extremely easy set up. Basically plug it in & go. Within a couple weeks problems started. Somewhere along the line the SSID of all 3 bands changed to the same name as the 2.4 band. This caused problems & took me a bit to realize what happened.

Absolute Night and Day difference!

Overall this is the absolute best router I have ever purchased. The signal strength is powerful and range is very far. I tried the Linksys AC5400 before this TP Link and returned it after 4 days because it was not keeping a constant signal.

Great sleek design

- None to report so far after a week of use

Great range

Excellent coverage, which is what I was looking for. Covers my whole house and front and back yard, approximately 3/4 acre. Signal goes right through my steel roof easily.

No device connection/disconnection logging

Lacks the basic feature of loggin device connection/disconnection, making it impossible to debug connectivity issues properly, and to check if someone is accessing your network without permission.

TP-Link Archer C5400 HomeCare Router

We all have a wireless router, and to a certain extent, it's just that thing that sits in the corner of the house, collecting dust and hopefully going about its business without a lot of involvement on the part of the user.

Mind-blowing performance; enhanced functionality via HomeCare update proves TP-Link stands behind its products

Awkward shape makes placement difficult; dual 2166MHz 802.11ac radios don't auto-negotiate connections for the user

too many software problems

after using this product for a while, I found it's very buggy on auxiliary features, like if you were sharing very large file via ftp, then the file is not shared in whole, only a portion of the file are accessible, and if you were using parental control heavily, like putting 40 or more keywords in...

The TP-Link C5400X is at its lowest price this Prime Day

TP-Link calls the Archer C5400X a gaming router, yet the one area where it's conspicuously lacking is gamer-oriented features. Cynically, I find myself wondering whether TP-Link is trying to woo gamers simply because they tend to be less cost-averse than regular consumers.

Fantastic performance and range; Eight Ethernet ports; Friendly; feature-packed interface

The price; obviously; Not much here for gamers
