With accidents a constant in Malaysia, having a dashboard camera can be handy. Interestingly enough, Transcend has a few in its product stable, one being the DrivePro 200. Transcend's car video recorder was a square black box that comes with a F/2.0 wide angle lens at the front.
Pros:
- Free microSD card
- Wide angle lens
Cons:
- No alternate charging method

"Product is fantastc apart from one major flaw"
I bought the Transcend DrivePro 200 after having a driver pull out in front of me and writing my car off, to make matters worse she claimed on my insurance and won even though she cut me up. I picked the Transcend over other products due to the video quality.
Pros:
- Great quality
- Good design
- Built well
Cons:
- Internal Battery is USELESS
- Mounting Bracket will attract theifs

Works fine but this was pretty much what I expected
Works fine but this was pretty much what I expected. Certainly better than the sticky thing that came with the Dash Cam.

Transcend Drive Pro 200 w/ suction cup
Really like the suction cup. Very secure. The cord is much too long. Camera works on 5 volts, same as standard other electrical devices, and could much easier use a plug in cigarette lighter USB stepdown transformer.

In our tests of the trio of dashcams Transcend we couldn't help noticing that while l three were priced differently, their overall build and recording prowess were so very close in quality. The DrivePro 200 shares many similarities with the cheaper DrivePro 100.

Great Reliability & Heat Resistance. Bad Night Quality.
The Transcend 200 would be my pick for anyone looking for heat resistance & dependability on a budget. Unfortunately at night it looks quite terrible. If you are looking for better video quality at a similar price I would pick up the A118-C or the G1W if you're on a budget.Using the camera is quite...
