I have owned several WD Mybooks over the years and I use them for video projects. They have been very useful and simple to move between machines for capturing and editing and have performed well. However, this new model comes with a "vitual CD".

This hard drive is extremely fast (around 60-70Mbs per second) when using the firewire cord. The software is also awesome. The software that comes with it has help topics for absolutely everything about it, so you will always know what to do.
