The last iPad with the BIG connector.

This iPad is great. I am using it right this second while I type this review up to substitute for my phone (motorola droid razr). I tend to use my phone to tether from but it bounces back and forth between 3G service and 4g service sometimes. I love the hotspot feature on the iPad.

The iPad 3 is by no means going to replace your compact, and although image quality was admirable, the tablet's large size makes it a little impractical to use as an everyday photographic tool.

When the Apple iPad entered the market, people were amazed at the technology this small device offered. No tablet could beat the technology, and most products were several steps behind Apple's tablet. With the new iPad, they made themselves even more difficult to beat.
Pros:
  • The new iPad features the iOS 5 operating system and the dual-core A5X chip
Cons:
  • There is no USB 2.0 port on this tablet

First review: The new Apple iPad for 2012

Apple's new iPad may not be the most revolutionary change the company has produced, but it's certainly an evolutionary update that will please anyone buying a tablet. New camera for the new iPad on the right, featuring a wider aperture than the camera on the iPad 2 (left).
Pros:
  • Astoundingly clear screen
  • Dual-channel 3G is faster than you realise
  • Compatible with quite a few of the iPad 2 cases
Cons:
  • No LED flash for the rear camera
  • FaceTime front camera is still VGA

The new Apple iPad may resemble its precursor the iPad2, but with its stunning features the latter does appear out-dated. Noticeable amongst the many upgrades is the retina display, improved UI, amazing multi-touch use, better camera and some solid hardware boost to the quadcore GPU.

Apple iPad 3

Apple has done a fine job with the iPad 3rd generation; it is a major upgrade from the iPad 1, and a middle of the road upgrade from the iPad 2. The stability of the IOS is still there, aside from the occasional app crash and Apple bashing article on how IOS is not as functional as Android.
