“It’s just another iPhone.” That’s how I’ve heard a lot of people refer to the iPhone 14 — and for good reason. Compared to last year’s model, the iPhone 14 is a very familiar smartphone. It has the same design, screen, chipset, and a very similar camera system. But here’s the thing. Those similarities shouldn’t come as a disappointment. The iPhone 14 takes a very strong foundation, keeps what works, and adds a few subtle improvements that make it a better overall handset. It’s far from the year’s most invigorating or jaw-dropping release, but if what you’re in the market for is “just another iPhone,” the iPhone 14 makes a great case for itself. The iPhone 14 Plus is Apple’s new super-sized smartphone that takes what was good about the base model 14 , including its more repair-friendly design, and adds a much bigger screen. The 6.7in display provides much more space for watching video, reading messages or simply having bigger text.
Pros:
- Pros: easier and cheaper to repair, better cameras, water resistant, Face ID, very long battery life, good performance, big screen, long software support.
Cons:
- Cons: no USB-C, need your own charger, difficult to use one-handed, no telephoto camera, screen slower than competition and 14 Pro.

iPhone 14 is still a good choice
The iPhone 14 is better than its predecessor, but it's also more expensive and doesn't have many significant upgrades.
Pros:
- Even faster, with a better camera and more features.
Cons:
- Charger is optional. Lacks telephoto lens. Price has been increased.

Since the Apple iPhone 14 Plus has a lot in common with the iPhone 14 , our verdict is very similar. The iPhone 14 Plus, too, is an excellent smartphone and a top choice in terms of the design, build quality, display, camera, battery life, and performance.
Pros:
- excellent OLED display, dust- and waterproof, fast Wi-Fi, wide range of frequencies supported, excellent camera, very fast performance, great battery life

- display limited to 60 Hz, charging rate limited to 20 watts, no macro lens, wide notch

Apple iPhone 14 Plus Dual SIM 5G (6GB RAM, 128GB, Midnight) - BRAND NEW review
There’s no dynamic refresh rate: it’s a 60Hz screen. Even so, in most usage, you’ll barely notice that it’s not as fast and smooth as its Pro sibling.

Pros:
- Excellent multiday battery life, Big, bright screen, Light despite its size
Cons:
- Hard to use one-handed or fit in a pocket, Lacks latest features like a 120Hz screen, eSIM transition will be easy for most but painful for some
