iPhone 7 review: Apple sets the stage for 2017
"Is the iPhone 7 worth upgrading to?" This is the question I've been asked by friends, family and MobileSyrup readers since the somewhat controversial iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus were revealed.
Pros:
- Sleek new colour options (Jet black and Black
- One of the most powerful smartphones on the market
- Taptic Engine is great
- Waterproof
- Camera is incredible
- especially in the 7 Plus
Cons:
- No headphone jack (for some
- this is a dealbreaker
- An iterative update
- Screen resolution has not been improved
- Jet Black is a fingerprint magnet

Jacked up
Controversy. Apple loves it. It fuels it and it's fueled by it. Rarely is brand hate more vocal and yet people stand in line to get the latest phone. It's part of the marketing game, and it has somehow always worked in Apple's favor.

iPhone 7 review: introducing the best iPhone EVER
No radical redesign, no resolution boost and no headphone port. If you look at what the iPhone 7 is missing, at least on paper, it's all too easy to dismiss Apple's latest pocket blower as just yet another iterative update. There's more to it than that though. A lot more.

- Finally plays nice with water

- Missing 7 Plus's dual camera
- Lack of headphone port a little restrictive
- Only certain colours show off design wins

iPhone 7 review: Its speed and camera are crazy-good, but it still drives me crazy
Every year, Apple releases the best iPhone ever, but the iPhone 7 feels different somehow. All of its major details leaked ahead of time, not to mention a good handful of rumors about next fall's iPhone, which could be a major redesign with an OLED screen and no Home button.

Okay let's address this headline. Why are we calling this Batman's phone? Well, that's what I felt about it the moment I clenched the ‘black' iPhone 7 may look the same as the iPhone 6 and 6S, yet it does not.
