Captain Toad Treasure Tracker
The king of rehash failed Family Friendly Gaming Universe yet again. I am pleased Family Friendly Gaming stepped up to the plate and did the right thing when Nintendo was not capable of doing so. Captain Toad Treasure Tracker has been ported from the Wii U to the Switch.

Pros:
- Great re-jigged existing levels
- Co-op adds a fun new dimension to things
Cons:
- Pointers still unnecessarily horrible in TV mode
- Probably could have done with more new courses

Review: Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker - Special Episode
Captain Toad's Special Episode is cheap, cheerful and provides a bit more Captain Toad for those of you who want exactly that. You'll probably see the end in less than a day, but it's worth every penny.
Pros:
- The gameplay is still as fun as ever
- There's some really cool level ideas
- Co-op mode adds a new level of fun
Cons:
- You'll be done with it pretty quickly
- The majority of the package is very easy
- It would have been nice to have a few more new levels

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker - Nintendo Switch
I got this game for my 5 year old son. He is pretty good at games but this one is a little more difficult for him and he gets frustrated. I however, love to play it because it is like a giant puzzle. He likes to give me a turn when it gets a little too hard and cheers me on the whole time.

Fun but a rerun
3.5/5: if you played the original version on the Wii U, your not missing much, my husband said that the 5 new levels were fun but not necessarily worth re buying the game for.

My only real gripe about playing the 3DS Treasure Tracker is that although the smaller screens of the system prove a boon for the lower resolution, it's a bit of a double-edged sword in that some of the action is harder to see, as a result. This is especially true on a 2DS.

You're just as likely to have a good time with Captain Toad now as you were way back then in the Wii U era. The controls on the Switch don't work as effectively as they did on the Wii U but the new worlds alongside more impressive visuals make this a great port for first timers, and a decent reason...
