There's adorable, and then there's Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. This is a game where you have to guide the interminably cute Captain Toad through perfectly formed vignettes that you rotate and inspect in order to solve the family-friendly puzzles that are put in your way.
Pros:
  • Beautiful visuals
  • Endearing characters
  • Fun puzzles
  • Perfect for on-the-go
Cons:
  • Docked mode isn't as intuitive as undocked
  • Very gentle increase in challenge
  • Relatively short

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker Review (Nintendo Switch) – Pure Portable Puzzling

When I initially played through Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker on the Nintendo Wii U, I'd be lying if I said I didn't feel that it'd be better suited to a portable console the whole way through.

Review: Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker For Switch

is another marvel of a Nintendo game. It feels right at home on the Switch along with all the other Wii U ports. What makes Captain Toad such a fun game is the cleverly designed levels, the unique way of solving puzzles by moving the camera around and also by the immediacy of beating levels.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker – Special Episode DLC review

Nintendo's pint sized adventurer is back, and no I don't mean Chibi Robo. Fresh from last year's Switch release of Wii U's Captain Toad Treasure Tracker we now have actual DLC for Toad and his

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker (Switch) review

In 2014 Nintendo took those Fez-like bonus stages that were included in the terrific Super Mario 3D World and fleshed-out the idea by giving the sentient fungi their own proper 3D puzzle game in Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker .

Great for all ages

After daycare, since a few weeks , my 3 yo keeps telling me that she wants to see the "mushrooms" so once a day I play for about half an hour. She understands that the goal is to catch the stars and she likes to choose the next map. Personally, I enjoy the game and I would have played anyway alone.
