Captain Toad Treasure Tracker (Nintendo Switch)
Available exclusively on Nintendo Switch It hurts to be revisiting Captain Toad on . Back when it released on Wii U in 2014 I enjoyed its simplistic but engaging gameplay; finding an adorable game that overflowed with charm.- Puzzles are unique and varied
- A visual delight
- Plenty of content
- Clunky controls get in the way
- Lacking in terms of new content
- Missing levels from original release
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker (Switch)
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker offers very little for those who have played it before, but if you've never have played before then you're in for a treat. Treasure Tracker might look adorable on the surface but under lurks a fun and innovative puzzler, one that might just be better played on your own...
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker (Switch) review
In 2014 Nintendo took those Fez-like bonus stages that were included in the terrific Super Mario 3D World and fleshed-out the idea by giving the sentient fungi their own proper 3D puzzle game in Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker .
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker
Nintendo seems intent on recycling the strong first-party titles that were originally released on Wii U, bringing them to the Nintendo Switch, and it's easy to see why. Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker - Switch and 3DS Review

Still smart, prettier than ever and, in retrospect, genuinely important as part of Nintendo's modern history, is a rare...
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker (Nintendo Switch) Review
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is an absolute joy to behold, from its cute visual styling and delicious soundtrack and audio utterances from the main characters, to the expertly crafted self-contained stages, jam-packed with smart puzzles to solve and a plethora of goodies to uncover.
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker Is Still A Booty-ful Delight On Switch
There's adorable, and then there's Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. This is a game where you have to guide the interminably cute Captain Toad through perfectly formed vignettes that you rotate and inspect in order to solve the family-friendly puzzles that are put in your way.- Beautiful visuals
- Endearing characters
- Fun puzzles
- Perfect for on-the-go
- Docked mode isn't as intuitive as undocked
- Very gentle increase in challenge
- Relatively short
Great for all ages
After daycare, since a few weeks , my 3 yo keeps telling me that she wants to see the "mushrooms" so once a day I play for about half an hour. She understands that the goal is to catch the stars and she likes to choose the next map. Personally, I enjoy the game and I would have played anyway alone.
