We've all seen a bunch of wireless keyboards and mice, but if you're someone who uses an HTPC in their living room, then you'll know that you need a special kind of keyboard for it. HTPC owners need something to use with their HTPC, that's kept several feet away, next to their large television.

It may not be right for everyone, but the K400 is worth of a test drive by all HTPC users.

I already mistakenly posted a negative review, thinking I had suffered the same fate as some others that posted the receiver wasn't included. I just found it! There's a pocket in the battery cover. That's where you'll find it.

I use this keyboard to control my remote desktop computer/server. I usually remote VNC into the computer however there are some times when I have to use a keyboard. I used to have to pull out my mouse and keyboard and connect it to the box and it became a hassle.

The Logitech K400 fits a nice market niche by providing a multi-media centric keyboard that bridges the gap between computer and television. If you want to use your computer more like a TV or your TV more like a computer then this keyboard is good choice.

Unless you're doing lots of typing or gaming, there isn't a lot to dislike about this unit. We picked it up for use with a HTPC, and I haven't used anything that works better for that purpose. The range and battery life are both excellent, and I haven't had compatibility issues in WinXP, 7 or 8.
