Great point and click and more advance as well

The camera is clearly a great quality camera for the money. But it's not the easiest to use. Especially coming over from your standard DSLR (canon or Nikon). I don't care for the dial by the screen. But it gives you some great quality shots. Just not as easy to adjust on the fly.

Sony Alpha A6300 Mirrorless Camera Body Only - 24.2MP APS-C Exmor CMOS Sensor, 3.0" 921.6k-Dot Tilting LCD , Built-in WiFi with NFC Support , UHD 4K30 & 1080p120 Recording

Very capable camera, weather sealing and a magnesiaum alloy body don't add too much of a weight penalty compared to its little brother A6000. It also has a full metal lens mount if you are planning to use heavier lenses.

Technically advanced, but the Sony a6300’s controls aren’t in line with the high price

Best camera

I had the a6000 for a year, got it with 18-55 and 55-250mm kit lenses for 699.00. Sold it as I was miserable. On paper, the a6000/6300 have great specs and functionality. A compact body, smaller than many m43 but w/aps-c sensor. Why did I hate Sony: 1. The lenses.

Tried to love it

First let me say Crutchfield is fantastic. First purchase from them and will again. For the product, this a6300 is not as good at still images as I would have liked (using SEL 55-210mm lens).

Build quality; Weight; Compact; Low light video/stills; Silent mode; Fast burts; 4K video and better 1080p rates

Can't get clean stills with all shots; Expensive lens options; Battery life; No touch screen or able to reverse the screen position; Screen resolution not as clear as its rivals

Sony Alpha A6300 review

Sony's A6300 is a mid-range mirrorless with an AF system that's the envy of pro cameras costing up to twice the price. It takes the earlier A6000 – no slouch for action photography – and upgrades the weather-sealing and viewfinder, adds 4k video, 1080 at 120p for slow motion and a microphone input,...

Best continuous AF in its class, Fast 11fps burst shooting or 8fps with live update, Internal 4k video; 1080 at up to 120fps for 5x slo-mo, Compact and light, weather-sealed body, Wifi with NFC and downloadable apps

Screen not touch-sensitive nor fully-articulated; Control dials have minimal tactile feedback; Screen can't be brightened when filming 4k; Maximum shutter speed of 1/4000; Smart Remote app needs updating immediately; Downloaded apps often have separate menus; Reports of rolling shutter; but not on...

Sony Alpha a6300

The Sony Alpha a6300 sits at the top of the Sony APS-C camera lineup. It costs £1,000 body-only at release, sitting below the full-frame Sony A7 II . Some will be unable to give up on the idea of owning a full-frame compact system camera, and we don't blame you.

Solid burst performance; Fast AF in most situations; Good higher-ISO performance; Great image quality

No in-body OIS; 'Entry level' manual controls

Sony A6300 review

Sony may have spent the last few years reshaping the full-frame market with a string of popular compact system cameras, but it's also managed to simultaneously keep its APS-C alternatives relevant and exciting.

Love the camera, hate the poor battery life

Still learning the ropes with this camera, but in awe of the variety of features and complex functionality available. Camera is also very well designed from an ergonomic viewpoint, easy to hold and very comfortable to use. But am rather shocked at how short the battery life is.
