The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 III is a premium compact camera that features a 24-70mm Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* zoom lens with a fast aperture of f/1.8 at the wide-angle setting and f/2.8 at full telephoto, a 20.1 megapixel 1.0-type Exmor R back-illuminated CMOS image sensor, a retractable OLED...

RX100 MKIII = the best
This really is a superb camera. I owned the Mark 1 and Mark 2, and the 3 is miles better. The much faster lens and superb OLED viewfinder just rock.

Sony RX100 III review
It's not much of a surprise that one of the most expensive compact cameras on the market is also one of the best. The question is whether it's worth buying. The truth is, there are very few cameras that are small enough to slip into a pocket that come close to matching the RX100 III's image quality,...

very much worth the extra money
Very nice camera, just make sure that you like the wide view over the focal length. I originally had the RX100 and the focal length was a plus for me but may not be to others

Sony Cyber-shot RX100 III review
If you want a pocketable high-end compact camera that offers it all, it looks as though Sony may have finally cracked it with the Cyber-shot RX100 III. This third-generation model delivers a large 1-inch sensor size, but rewrites the earlier RX100 rulebook with a new 24-70mm f/1.8-2.8 equivalent...
Pros:
- Built-in electronic viewfinder
- truly pocketable size
- super-fast 24-70mm (equivalent) lens
- customisable lens ring control
- great image quality
- sturdy build
- ND filter added
Cons:
- Autofocus ought to be more effective in all lighting
- it's crazy expensive
- shorter focal length than predecessor
- no touchscreen
- small button controls

Great compact camera.
I wanted a quality, compact camera which would fit easily in my pocket, yet better than using my iPhone. This camera has a Zeiss lens along with 20.1mp, so it does fit the requirement. I'm still working with it as the only issue I have is indoor/flash photos.
Pros:
- Easy to Use
- Good Battery Life
- Great Resolution
- Small / Compact
Cons:
- Limited Zoom
- Poor Image Stabilization

Great Camera
Pros: Having been Canon small pocket camera owner for several years I was a bit skeptical about the Sony RX100 iii but since it received several great reviews I was willing to give it a try.

Best P+S I've ever owned (so far)
I'm a professional photographer, mostly editorial work for publications. Worked 20 years as a newspaper staffer. Now as full time freelancer, I mostly shoot feature stories, travel pieces and a lot of portraits. This is the camera I carry w/me always.
