I'm using this primarily for some office management, photo/video storage, and backup of my cell phone and tablet. Secondary is using the space for networked media devices. I was able to plug in the device, and attach my new nGear 1ft Cat6a cable.

my 4th NAS. Last one was Buffalo NAS. Outdated and absolute junk. I use it for media streaming through laptop (as a server) running Plex to Chromecast controlled by my Android phone (sounds confusing but if you've done it it's simple and always works).

I bought it from BestBuy instead of memex; That's my weakness..; For way more $...; I am blaming this on Memex for not having a store in Kelowna; (also for wanting stuff NOW and not waiting for shipping - would be nice if it came pre built with Plex server (I'm sure only 1% of people really care...

Another good product from WD. Easy to use. Works well for remote access too. Access page opens easily on laptop, tablet or mobile device. The draw backs are...a bit slower than accepted (I have not tried a gigabit router/switch which it recommends).
