Apple iPhone 13 review: The iPhone for everyone
Although not drastically different from its predecessor, the boost to battery life for this generation makes it an ideal choice for those seeking a big-screen device. Sure, you do miss out on a handful of nice-to-have features compared to the Pro model - including the telephoto zoom lens and 120Hz fast-refresh display - but the iPhone 13 is still an excellent all-round device that, importantly, doesn't cost quite as much.- Big and bright display
- Great camera performance
- Good battery - a clear boost over its predecessor
- Solid performance
- No telephoto zoom lens
- No fast refresh-rate display
- Some camera shutter lag in low-light conditions

The iPhone 13 keeps everything that was great about the iPhone 12, cuts £20 off the price, doubles the starting storage and adds two meaningful upgrades: longer battery life and a better camera.- Pros: better cameras, water resistant, Face ID, longer battery life, great performance, great screen with smaller notch, durable and easy to hold, 5G, long software support.
- Cons: no USB-C, need your own charger, no telephoto camera, screen slower than competition and 13 Pro.
Apple iPhone 13 128GB - (Product) Red MLPJ3X/A review
The iPhone 13 is the most appealing offering from Apple this year if one were to consider price, the battery life and the overall camera performance. If you are on an iPhone XS or older, and wish to upgrade this year, this would be my solid recommendation.
Apple iPhone 13 128GB - (Product) Red MLPJ3X/A review
The iPhone 13 is Apple’s mid-range offering, and as such, it’s only fair to expect a mid-range performance - and that’s especially true of the on-board camera.- Cheaper than the iPhone 13 Pro, Cinematic Video mode included, Improved camera compared to last year’s iPhone 12
- No raw format shooting, No telephoto lens, No macro mode
Apple iPhone 13 128GB - (Product) Red PH-AP-13-128-RD review
The iPhone 13’s brighter display, longer battery life and powerful cameras make it the best iPhone for the money. But we wish it had faster charging and the iPhone 13 Pro’s adaptive 120Hz display.- Brighter display, Great cameras, Compelling Cinematic video mode, Class-leading performance, Very good battery life
- Lacks 120Hz display, Slower charging than rivals, Cinematic mode capped at 1080p
Apple iPhone 13 128GB - (Product) Red PH-AP-13-128-RD review
Even though the iPhone 13 is very much an incremental step forward, it includes useful new features like a more powerful processor, the excellent Cinematic video mode and a brighter display.- Still a great all-around smartphone package, Includes most of the 'Pro' series' best feature, Design still looks great
- No 120Hz display, Camera improvements are marginal, Not much of an upgrade over last year
Apple iPhone 13 128GB - (Product) Red MLPJ3X/A review
Time to upgrade.- Impressive cameras. 128 gigabytes of base storage. Longer battery life on the full-size model.
- Battery on the Mini is a bit weak. Otherwise there’s not much to dislike.
Apple iPhone 13 128GB - (Product) Red MLPJ3X/A review
In my opinion, the iPhone 13 is a bigger update to the series than the iPhone 12 was. The iPhone 12 represented a major design update, and one that I’m glad has stuck around. But the iPhone 13 offers improvements where it really counts — the battery, and the camera.
